Reiki with Phiona
My journey with Reiki began over 20 years ago. What started as a personal search for balance, healing, and connection has become a practice that has woven itself through both my personal life and my professional work. Like many people who find their way to Reiki, I first experienced it during a period when I was looking for something deeper, a way to reconnect with myself, restore balance, and create space for healing. The gentle yet profound impact it had on my own well-being inspired me to continue my training, and in 2005, I became a Reiki Master Practitioner and Teacher.
Over the past two decades, I have been privileged to share Reiki with hundreds of people from all walks of life. Through times of stress, grief, illness, transition, growth, and self-discovery, Reiki has offered many of my clients a space to simply pause, breathe, and reconnect with themselves.
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a gentle Japanese energy healing practice that supports balance and well-being on physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels. The word Reiki translates as "universal life energy." During a Reiki session, I work intuitively with this energy to support the body's natural capacity for rest, restoration, and healing. Sessions involve light touch, or hands held just above the body, creating a deeply relaxing and nurturing experience.
As both a counsellor and somatic therapist, I understand how much of our stress, emotions, and life experiences can be carried within the body. Reiki complements this understanding beautifully, offering a gentle way to support nervous system regulation, emotional release, and a deeper sense of connection between mind and body. Many people describe Reiki as helping them feel calmer, lighter, more grounded, and more connected to themselves.
Reiki and Modern Wellbeing
Whilst Reiki is not a replacement for medical care, it is increasingly recognised as a complementary therapy that can support relaxation, reduce stress, and improve overall wellbeing. Across the UK, Reiki is now offered in a growing number of hospitals, cancer support centres, and hospices as part of holistic patient care. Its gentle, non-invasive nature makes it an accessible therapy for many people navigating physical illness, emotional challenges, grief, stress, or significant life transitions.
What many healthcare settings recognise is something I have witnessed throughout my years of practice: when the nervous system is given an opportunity to rest and settle, the whole person benefits.

Often, it begins when we create enough safety to slow down and listen to ourselves. Just as nature moves through seasons of growth, release, rest, and renewal, we too experience cycles throughout our lives. Reiki Sessions
Every Reiki session is tailored to your individual needs and intentions.
Sessions take place within my peaceful garden therapy space in Havant, Hampshire, or can be experienced remotely through Distance Reiki. Many clients choose Reiki as a standalone treatment, while others incorporate it alongside counselling, hypnotherapy, somatic therapy, or breathwork as part of a holistic wellbeing journey. My intention is always to provide a safe, nurturing space where you feel supported, heard, and able to simply be.
Reiki Training & Attunements
