Contact Phiona

Schedule a complimentary, no-obligation 15-minute consultation to gently explore how therapy might support you. This is a relaxed, no-pressure space where you can get a sense of how I work, ask any questions you may have, and decide whether we feel like the right fit to work together.

Areas of Special Interest

Alongside supporting a broad range of mental health and wellbeing concerns, I have particular experience and interest in the following areas:

Bereavement & Grief Support

Grief is a deeply personal experience that can feel overwhelming, confusing, and isolating. Whether you are grieving the loss of a loved one, a significant relationship, or a beloved companion animal, therapy offers a compassionate space to process emotions and make sense of your experience. I provide specialist bereavement support, including animal bereavement counselling, helping clients honour their loss while finding their own path towards healing and adjustment.

Trauma, PTSD & Somatic Healing

Trauma can affect how we think, feel, relate to others, and experience the world around us. Sometimes what we carry does not live in words alone; it lives within the body.

Using trauma-informed counselling, clinical hypnotherapy, and somatic approaches, I support clients in safely exploring and processing difficult experiences. Together, we work to reduce overwhelm, restore a sense of safety, and support nervous system regulation.

Somatic approaches can be particularly beneficial for trauma, PTSD, anxiety, chronic stress, nervous system dysregulation, emotional overwhelm, chronic tension, fatigue, and feelings of disconnection from yourself or your body.

Neurodiversity Support

I provide affirming, neurodiversity-informed support for children, young people, and adults, including those with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia, sensory processing differences, Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD), and Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA).

As a Hampshire and Isle of Wight Autism Ambassador, I bring additional understanding, advocacy, and insight into my work with neurodivergent individuals and families. Sessions are adapted to your needs, helping you reduce overwhelm, build self-understanding, and work with your strengths rather than against them.

Chronic Illness & Hidden Disabilities

Living with a chronic illness or hidden disability can impact every aspect of life, including emotional well-being, relationships, identity, confidence, and self-esteem.

Alongside professional training, I bring lived experience and understanding to my work with individuals living with conditions such as fibromyalgia, ME/CFS, autoimmune conditions, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, IBS, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, coeliac disease, thyroid disorders, diabetes, and hormonal or endocrine conditions. Therapy offers a supportive space to explore the emotional impact of long-term health challenges and to develop practical coping strategies and self-compassion.

Children & Young People

Children and young people do not always have the words to express how they feel. I provide a safe, nurturing, and age-appropriate environment where young people can explore emotions, build confidence, and develop healthy coping strategies. Support may include anxiety, low mood, emotional regulation difficulties, anger, trauma, bereavement, family separation, bullying, school-related difficulties, neurodivergence, school refusal, and self-esteem concerns.

Using counselling, hypnotherapy, somatic approaches, breathwork, and creative interventions, I support young people in developing resilience and emotional wellbeing.

Relationship & Couples Therapy

Relationships can be one of our greatest sources of connection, but they can also bring challenges, misunderstandings, and periods of difficulty. I offer couples and relationship counselling to help partners improve communication, resolve conflict, rebuild trust, strengthen emotional connection, navigate life transitions, and explore intimacy and relationship dynamics in a safe and supportive environment.

Anxiety, Depression, OCD & Emotional Wellbeing

I support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD, stress, burnout, low self-esteem, emotional overwhelm, confidence issues, and life transitions. Together, we work to understand the underlying causes of distress while developing practical tools that support long-term emotional well-being and resilience.

Individual, Couples & Group Therapy

I offer one-to-one counselling, couples therapy, and therapeutic group work both in person and online. Whatever brings you to therapy, I will work alongside you at a pace that feels safe, supportive, and right for you.
