Schedule a complimentary, no-obligation 15-minute consultation to gently explore how therapy might support you. This is a relaxed, no-pressure space where you can get a sense of how I work, ask any questions you may have, and decide whether we feel like the right fit to work together.

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming. You may be struggling with anxiety, stress, grief, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, neurodivergent challenges, or simply feeling lost and unsure of your next step. At times, carrying these experiences alone can feel exhausting. Counselling offers a safe, supportive, and confidential space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without fear of judgement. It is a place where you can be heard, understood, and accepted exactly as you are.
As a Humanistic Counsellor, Phiona believes that each person is unique and has the capacity for growth, healing, and positive change. Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all approach, she collaborates with you, tailoring sessions to your individual needs, circumstances, and goals.
A Compassionate and Integrative Approach
Phiona works with both adults and young people, providing a warm, empathetic environment where clients can explore life's challenges at their own pace.
She has a particular interest in supporting individuals experiencing:
- Anxiety and stress
- Low self-esteem and confidence
- Grief and bereavement, including pet loss
- Trauma and adverse life experiences
- Neurodiversity, including ADHD and Autism
- Hidden disabilities and chronic illness
- Relationship difficulties
- Life transitions and identity exploration
- School avoidance, bullying, and emotional challenges in young people
While these are areas of particular interest, counselling is not limited to specific issues. Whatever has brought you to therapy, you are welcome.
What is Counselling?
Counselling is a collaborative relationship built on trust, respect, and understanding. Rather than giving advice or telling you what to do, counselling provides the opportunity to explore your experiences in a way that helps you gain greater self-awareness, insight, and clarity. Through this process, many people begin to develop a deeper understanding of themselves, their relationships, and the patterns that may be influencing their lives. Sometimes counselling focuses on making sense of the past. At other times, it may focus on navigating present difficulties or exploring hopes for the future. The work unfolds at a pace that feels comfortable and appropriate for you.
How Counselling May Help
Counselling can support you to:
- Develop greater self-awareness and understanding
- Explore difficult emotions safely
- Build healthier coping strategies
- Improve confidence and self-esteem
- Navigate life transitions and uncertainty
- Strengthen relationships and communication
- Process grief, loss, and change
- Increase resilience and emotional well-being
- Develop greater self-compassion and acceptance
The aim is not to "fix" you, because you are not broken. Rather, counselling offers a supportive space to help you reconnect with your strengths, resources, and sense of self.
What to Expect
During sessions, Phiona will offer a calm, non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about whatever feels important to you. She will listen with empathy and curiosity, helping you explore your experiences and make sense of what you are going through. Together, you can identify patterns, consider new perspectives, and develop ways of moving forward that feel authentic and meaningful. There is no pressure to talk about anything before you are ready. Therapy is guided by your needs, your goals, and your pace.
A Safe Space to Be Yourself
Phiona believes that healing often begins within a genuine therapeutic relationship where people feel accepted, respected, and understood. Whether you are facing a specific challenge or simply need a space to reflect and make sense of your experiences, counselling can offer support, connection, and the opportunity for personal growth. Reaching out for support can feel like a difficult step, but it is often the beginning of meaningful change.
If you would like to explore whether counselling feels right for you, Phiona welcomes you to get in touch for an initial conversation.
