Therapeutic Groups

Four diverse young adults engage in conversation, one in a wheelchair, in a cozy setting.

Therapeutic Groups

Therapeutic Group Programmes

Phiona facilitates a series of therapeutic groups that run over a course of weeks, each course gently exploring one key life theme:

These groups are thoughtfully designed for individuals navigating experiences that can profoundly affect identity, relationships, confidence, and overall well-being.

Phiona brings a calm presence and gentle holding to topics that often carry deep emotional weight. Whether you are adjusting to physical and psychological changes during menopause, processing a late neurodiversity diagnosis, or living with grief, these groups offer a space where complexity is welcomed and respected.

Many of these experiences can lead to feelings of isolation, misunderstanding, or withdrawal from social connections. Within the group, space is opened for:

  • Real, meaningful discussion
  • Empathetic listening and shared understanding
  • Exploration of identity shifts and emotional impact
  • Gentle nervous system regulation through breath-led and embodied practices
  • Rebuilding connection and reducing isolation

Participants are never expected to share beyond their comfort zone. Choice, pacing, and emotional safety are central to the process.

A Structured and Supportive Journey

Each course follows carefully themed sessions, allowing topics to unfold in a way that feels contained, progressive, and supportive. The structure helps attendees feel informed and emotionally held.

Across the weeks, groups may include:

  • Psychoeducation to increase understanding and self-awareness
  • Reflection exercises and guided discussion
  • Breathwork and grounding practices
  • Opportunities to explore coping strategies and resilience
  • Space to build authentic peer support
  • The intention is not to “fix” but to support understanding, integration, and connection.

Groups are small to ensure a supportive and personal experience.

Attendance for the full course is encouraged to support continuity and trust within the group.

No prior therapeutic experience is required.

All groups are held online.

A brief initial conversation with Phiona is required before joining to ensure the group is the right fit and to answer any questions.

These groups are for those who may be quietly carrying a lot, and who are ready to do so in the company of others who understand.

Over the weeks, participants are supported not only to feel informed, but to feel less alone, more resourced, and more connected, to themselves and to others.https://www.mindfulmomentstherapies.co.uk/mmt-shop/Neurodiversity-And-Late-Diagnosis-8-Week-Group-p817598761

Menopause 10-Week Group

Gentle Online Support Through Change and Transition

Are you navigating menopause or perimenopause and feeling unsure, overwhelmed, or unlike yourself? Whether you are just beginning to notice changes or have been managing symptoms for some time, you do not have to go through it alone.

At Mindful Moments Therapies, Phiona offers a warm and supportive online space where women can explore the emotional, physical, and psychological impact of menopause in a safe and understanding environment.

This 10-week Menopause Group provides a gentle, structured space where your experiences are acknowledged and respected. Together, we explore the changes that menopause can bring, not only to the body, but to identity, relationships, confidence, and wellbeing.

Why Join the Menopause Support Group?

Professionally Led

The group is facilitated by Phiona, who brings a calm and compassionate presence to conversations that can often feel vulnerable or difficult to name. There is space for honesty, reflection, and shared learning, without judgment or comparison.

Shared Understanding

Menopause can sometimes feel isolating, particularly when symptoms are misunderstood or minimised. Being alongside others who are navigating similar transitions can help reduce feelings of confusion and self-doubt. Whether you speak or simply listen, connection can be deeply reassuring.

A Supportive and Respectful Environment

This is a confidential space where you are free to talk about mood changes, anxiety, sleep disruption, brain fog, body changes, shifting relationships, or questions about identity and purpose. There is no “right” way to experience menopause.

Inclusive and Empowering

Every menopause journey is different. This group welcomes women from all backgrounds and acknowledges the diversity of experiences, including natural menopause, medically induced menopause, and early menopause.

Neurodiversity & Late Diagnosis

An 8-Week Online Reflective Group

Receiving a neurodiversity diagnosis later in life, or beginning to recognise yourself in neurodivergent traits, can be both illuminating and destabilising. For some, it brings relief and validation. For others, grief, anger, confusion, or a deep re-evaluation of the past. Often, it brings all of these at once.

This 8-week online group at Mindful Moments Therapies offers a thoughtful, steady space to explore what a late diagnosis, or self-identification, means for you now.

A Space to Make Sense of Your Story

Many adults who receive a diagnosis of ADHD, autism, dyslexia, or other forms of neurodivergence later in life describe years of masking, self-doubt, burnout, or feeling “different” without understanding why.

This group invites you to:

  • Revisit your life story with a new understanding
  • Explore the impact of masking and chronic stress
  • Process grief for missed support or misunderstood experiences
  • Reflect on identity shifts and self-acceptance
  • Consider boundaries, needs, and communication going forward
  • There is no pressure to define yourself in any particular way. Curiosity is enough.

How the Group Works

Over eight weekly online sessions, we move through gently structured themes designed to support clarity, integration, and connection.

Sessions may include:

  • Guided discussion and reflective prompts
  • Psychoeducation around neurodiversity and nervous system regulation
  • Exploration of strengths alongside challenges
  • Somatic-led grounding practices to support emotional steadiness
  • Space to share, or simply witness, in a confidential setting

You are welcome whether you have a formal diagnosis, are self-identified, or are still questioning.

Facilitated with Care

Phiona brings a lived experience, a calm, grounded presence to conversations that can feel deeply personal. Her approach is trauma-informed and embodied, recognising that late diagnosis can touch every area of life, work, relationships, self-worth, and belonging.

The group is kept intentionally small to allow for safety, depth, and meaningful connection.

Who Is This For?

Adults aged 18+ who are:

  • Recently diagnosed as neurodivergent
  • Exploring the possibility of a diagnosis
  • Reflecting on the impact of living undiagnosed
  • Seeking community with others who understand the complexity of this experience

No prior group experience is needed.

This group is not about becoming someone new.
It is about understanding who you have always been,  with greater clarity, compassion, and choice.

If you are ready to explore your experience in a space that values nuance, honesty, and connection, you are warmly invited to join.
