Therapy in the Garden: Nature’s Gentle Embrace for Your Healing Journey

Imagine a place where the breeze carries birdsong, butterflies drift through dappled sunlight, and the gentle sound of flowing water calms your senses.

Welcome to Therapy in the Garden, a serene and nurturing outdoor therapy space created by Phiona in the heart of Havant.

Surrounded by trees, vibrant plants, and the peaceful hum of nature, this haven offers more than just a beautiful setting. It is a carefully designed therapeutic environment that supports emotional release, nervous system regulation, and deep mental and physical relaxation. Whether you're managing anxiety, stress, or feelings of overwhelm, nature’s soothing presence can be a powerful companion on your healing path.

In this tranquil garden, peace is not just a feeling,  it’s an experience. Sessions may include breathwork, grounding exercises, or gentle talking therapy, all supported by the rhythm of the natural world. The sensory environment plays a vital role: the scent of flowers, the softness of the breeze on skin, the sound of wind chimes, rustling leaves and birdsong, the colours and textures of plants, and even the grounding sensation of earth underfoot all help to regulate the body and calm the mind. For those who struggle to express their emotions or find it difficult to open up in traditional settings, this sensory-rich, non-judgmental space provides a gentle and supportive alternative.

Unlike traditional therapy rooms, the garden provides a less structured, open-air environment that is especially helpful for clients, both children and adults, who feel more at ease outdoors. It’s ideal for those who connect deeply with nature and find peace in its rhythms.

For clients with mobility challenges, Phiona’s garden offers a serene and accessible space to experience the healing power of nature therapy without the need for long walks or navigating difficult trails. The garden is thoughtfully designed to ensure that clients with limited mobility can comfortably enjoy the tranquil atmosphere. With seating areas strategically placed just a short walk from the parking area, clients can immerse themselves in the peaceful surroundings, allowing them to benefit from the calming effects of nature while receiving therapeutic support. This thoughtful setup makes it easier for clients with physical limitations to still connect with the outdoors and find solace in the beauty and stillness of the garden.

Availability:Therapy in the Garden is offered from late April through to late September (weather dependent). Each session is tailored to your needs, allowing the natural surroundings to support therapeutic progress in a unique and powerful way.
