Brush and Breath | Expressive Art and Mindful Therapeutic Workshops

Brush and Breath is a unique collaboration between Phiona of Mindful Moments Therapies and Julie and Rachel of The Sunflower Art Collective. Together, we create inclusive, supportive spaces where individuals can gently explore emotions, experiences, and wellbeing through creative expression.

Our workshops provide a safe, welcoming environment for anyone wishing to process feelings, trauma, bereavement, neurodiversity, or simply take time to reflect and reset. You do not need any artistic experience to take part. All materials are provided, and the focus is on expression rather than outcome.

Each Brush and Breath workshop is thoughtfully themed, offering a range of creative activities including collage, clay work, painting, doodling, and other mixed media. These sessions encourage self-discovery, emotional release, and mindful connection to the present moment.

Monthly Workshops

Our Monthly Saturday three hour workshops provide the space to get greative, let the inner child play and find a voice, through expression and creativity.

Therapeutic art can support individuals living with anxiety, depression, PTSD, chronic stress, and burnout. It helps bring emotional resilience, improve self-awareness, and promote nervous system regulation. By combining creative expression with mindfulness-based approaches, Brush and Breath supports healing, recovery, and long-term wellbeing.

Whether you are looking to reconnect with yourself, explore personal challenges, or simply take a break from the demands of daily life, Brush and Breath offers a space where you can slow down, create freely, and feel supported.

Find calm through creativity. Reconnect through art. Heal through expression.

Join us and discover the restorative power of art and breath.

Julie  Tucker is an artist and tutor living in Fareham, Hampshire. She has a background in community arts and has worked with all age groups on many projects. Her passion is Fine Art, particularly oil paint on canvas and she simply adores the genre Impressionism!

Julie taught various art classes at Ashcroft Arts Centre in Fareham for many years. Julie truly believes that art as a medium is incredibly therapeutic and should always be fun and relaxed – it is about empowering individuals to paint and be creative freely without judgement form others.

“To truly paint is to find oneself amidst the chaos of the world we live in”
