About Phiona

Phiona has worked as a holistic therapist since early 2000 and was among one of the first to take Holistic Therapy into the workplace. Initially within the Occupational Therapy department of a local hospital for staff and then undertaking a clinical trial with the Hampshire Police for stress and wellbeing.  Having worked in clinics and in her own private practice, Phiona has a wealth of experience and understanding for a clients needs and how best to support them. Phiona has recently developed her practice with the addition of Clinical Hypnotherapy. Specialising in trauma in children and adults, alongside women's health and well-being. Offering support for mental health, anxiety, depression PTSD, stress, confidence, fears, and phobias, weight management and Hypno Gastric Band. Embarking in further training in Mindful Menopause, to support this transition time for women. Hypno4children and Mindful Mama Hypnobirthing. Phiona is also an EFT Practitioner and Breathwork Coach which helps to support her Hypnotherapy work, alongside studying BSc (Hons) in Humanistic Counselling.Having taken CPD in supporting Autism in her practice and Diversity to be able to offer her clients full inclusion and understanding. Phiona is a deep believer in ongoing training and is often undertaking CPD to enhance her practice. Phiona spends her free time volunteering for local charity organisations in supporting emotional wellbeing and support.

IEMT

Mindful Menopause®

Menopause is a significant phase in a woman's life, marking a transition that can bring about various changes, both physically and emotionally. EFT, also known as Emotional Freedom Technique, is a powerful healing modality that involves tapping on specific energy meridian points on the body. It aims to address and release negative emotions, limiting beliefs, worries, and anxiety.

Breathwork 

Breathwork is well known for its physical and mental health benefits.  Leaders in the field of trauma are also recognising its power of regulating the nervous system and supporting integration of traumatic events.   Breathing techniques are given to clients as a resource. Breathwork is a natural, simple and powerful tool that has the ability to transform your wellbeing.  The breath is the only system in the body that we can control and learning to breathe to your fullest capacity can be life changing. There is a breath for every need and because it’s a system we can control it is a truly empowering and rewarding discipline. Breathwork can calm & soothe, energise and invigorate and generally help maintain homeostasis within the body’s systems.

As a Reiki Master Teacher, Phiona has worked with healing energy for over 30 years, and honed and adapted the essence to be able to share worldwide via video link along with in person sessions. Energy work can now be done over video connection, so you can be comfortable in your own space without having to get up from your relaxed space after a session and allow the energy to continue to shift and absorb. Phiona has trained herself over time to be able to connect to the remotes of places working with energy and sending it far afield to reach those of seeking and request. Phiona also a Reiki Master Teacher since 2004 has shared the gift of healing with many souls worldwide.

Phiona has taken specialised training and further development to attain certification in Past Life Regression in Clinical Hypnotherapy.

It aims to create a calm and balanced state of mind for the expectant mother, allowing her to experience a more natural and empowered labour. By using hypnosis and relaxation techniques, hypnobirthing helps women tap into their inner strength and trust their bodies' ability to give birth. It promotes a deep sense of relaxation, reducing anxiety and fear often associated with childbirth.

Through hypnobirthing, women learn to embrace the power of their mind and create a positive mindset towards labor. By focusing on relaxation and visualization exercises, they can achieve a state of deep relaxation, allowing their bodies to work harmoniously during the birthing process.

 

 

Aromatherapy
 

We live in a world full of aroma, the mind is filled with scents and smells to bring about wellbeing and also protection and safety. We are born with a natural sense of smell, that not only provides the brain with information about our environment, but also the dangers within it, or the sense of peace and relaxation. Phiona qualified as an aromatherapist in 2005 and finds a way to bring aromatherapy into her everyday life. Utilising the natural plant extracts to promote health and wellbeing, Aromatherapy can be used as its own therapy or combined with other therapies to support and bring about change and healing. 

Whilst Phiona is not currently offering Aromatherapy as an individual therapy, she often utilises it and combines it with other therapies she is working with, for example combined with hypnotherapy it can enhance the relaxation and healing of mind and emotions, supporting recovery from trauma, sleep issues, anxiety and PTSD. It is a powerful tool to combine with EFT to help the emotional body connect somatically to the emotions it may have suppressed  and wth breathwork to enhance the practice itself.

Bach Flower Remedies 

The system of plant and flower-based essences was developed in the 1930’s by Dr. Edward Bach, a physician and homeopath who was convinced that emotional well being was key to good health.Dr. Bach devoted his life to exploring the use of flowers and plants and eventually went on to establish The Bach Centre in Oxfordshire, England, where he developed the natural flower essences as we know them today.

Hypno4Children™
 

As  a Hypno4Children™  Accredited practitioner, I have furthered my training to be able to deeply support the emotions and behaviours of young children, adolescent and teens with age appropriate strategies and techniques to support, empower and bring confidence to their mindset and wellbeing.

Children of all ages can struggle with their emotions and feelings, not yet having the tools to help support them to be able to understand , process or move through in a positive and structured way. This can lead to behavioural problems,  friendship issues, school complexities, home life being disrupted and challenging, building stress, anxiety and a negative environment.

Sessions are designed for your child’s individual needs and start from 30 minutes up to 60 minute sessions depending on age.  I would always advise for a free insight call initially to discover how I can support you and your young person, and that I am the right fit for you.
